Blend Studio will be hosting new work by Tiffany Brown during the month of October. The artist will be available on the opening night of the First Saturday Art Crawl. In addition to the gallery exhibit, Tiffany Brown will host a free workshop October 25, 2014 from 1-2pm for all ages.

Everyone is from somewhere. Some people move around their whole life while others live at the same place forever. Regardless, we all start somewhere and that somewhere is “home”. This exhibit is a tribute to the places where we begin in America. Each state has been cut from fabric and stitched together. An installation in the center of the gallery invites patrons to participate by marking where they live now and where they call home.
Tiffany Brown, fiber and installation artist, from Tennessee, is an art education specialist; teaching at Portland High School in Sumner County, TN. Brown received her Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology, minor in Fine Art and Art Education degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN and her Masters of Fine Art from Lesley University in Boston, MA.
