Quintin Watkins will have Psyche series exhibit at Blend Studio during the art crawl Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 6 to 9 PM. The artist will be available on the opening night of the First Saturday Art Crawl.
Artist Statement:
Quintin Watkins starts by looking at individuals complex network of personalities that identify personas. He documents daily experience from commuting, conversations, and other interactions with people. Watkins art practice places the importance of identifying the journey in discovering our identities and exploration of our psyche.
Watkins currently working with digital media, he works starts with sketching and transferred by scanning. During the process, He begins by researching color. Based on his work he chooses his color palette for space. While focusing on shapes, he fines human form or animal imagery to transform subjects and for the images to coexist. The images should be able to communicate a certain body language together that makes them feel more lively and inspiring.
