IDIOSYNCRASY: neither characterize peculiarity nor customary of nature, culture, symbol and language. It however takes into consideration the perspective and the unambiguous focus on its subject matter. This exhibition gathers six Cebu-based artists from the Philippines who apply distinctive processes with each artwork that they create.

Bastinuod portrays his narrative through the use of elements of indigenous Filipino culture interwoven with millennial eccentricity.

Bakh attempts to capture the essence of his wall-bound metal assemblage by imitating it on a canvas.

Greys Lockheart uses fabrics and batik to create roles of women depicting different social status, and how gender language changes over time.

Jan Sunday introspects existentialism through photography while incorporating other forms of media.

Wyndelle Remonde tells his current struggle to overcome his medical condition through vibrant colors and outlandish characters.

And, KDLT stencils his conviction that a bigger part of an individual is created largely by his daily engagements, the mundane things, and habits.

Through their methodology and philosophy, the materiality and significance of the works may be metaphorical, consequent, aesthetic or even prosaic. Brought together, these artists continue to go after one common goal — pursue the field of arts together even with different idiosyncrasies.
