“Re-Titled”, running at Blend Studio from March 7- March 31, 2020, calls Nashville artists together to once again create work for a group show. Hearkening back to the days of Untitled artist group, Plowhaus Artist Co-op, and other artist collectives groups instrumental in shaping artists in Nashville throughout the early and mid 2000s, the show aims to bring back a sense of community and re-ignite creative dialogue. Re-Titled will open with a reception at Blend Studio during the art crawl Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 6 to 9 PM. Artists will be available on the opening night of the First Saturday Art Crawl.
The show will feature the work of thirty artists and will mark the beginning of a series of Re-Titled shows following a roughly quarterly schedule. Re-titled shows will be juried, with the winner showcasing their work at a one-person show at Blend Studio later on in the year or in 2021. Jurors will bring unique perspective and backgrounds as local and national writers, visual artists, and community organizers, giving all of us the opportunity to see our individual and collective work in a unique perspective.
