Blend Studio will have These Light Things: new works by Margaret Pesek a series of paintings influence by Marc Chagall. It will be exhibited at Blend Studio during the art crawl Saturday October 6th, 2018 from 6 to 9 PM. The artist will be available during the opening night of the First Saturday Art Crawl.
Artist Statement:
I have always liked using my art to tell specific stories. Whether they are personal moments, or random scenarios that pop into my head. These days, while everybody seems increasingly anxious and divided, I feel a need for sharing moments of motion, color, and joy with others. Stylistically, this collection is inspired in large part by the works of Marc Chagall (in particular his stunning mosaic wall in Chicago), and some photos I found one day – of a gorgeous decaying window in the city of Pripyat, next to Chernobyl.
Margaret Pesek is a graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist who has lived in Nashville since 2001.
